Data deletion

birds.cool does not currently provide public Instagram login and does not sell user information. If you have authorized birds.cool through Instagram or submitted a comment on the site, you may request deletion at any time.

Request deletion

1. Send a direct message to @realcoolbirds.
2. Include the words Data deletion request and identify the birds.cool comment or Instagram account involved.
3. We will confirm the request and delete associated birds.cool records within 30 days, unless a limited record must be retained for security or legal reasons.

Revoke Instagram access

You may also remove birds.cool from the authorized apps and websites section of your Instagram settings. Revoking access prevents future API access but does not automatically remove information previously submitted to birds.cool, so use the request process above if deletion is also needed.

What will be deleted

Depending on what exists, deletion may include Instagram authorization records, account identifiers, publishing metadata, imported comments, and comments or reactions submitted directly on birds.cool. Bird-camera media and anonymous operational records that are not linked to you are not personal account data and may remain.
